Today I got up before doing 7 hours of tutoring and was surprised by a mail from google. They stop their hosting service as no one seems to need it any more ...
Hmm I know I am not representative but I thought if you set up an open-source hosting service you downscale at some point but you don't shut it down.
At least google provided a migration tool for the repositories, which meant I only had to sit there and watch as my four repos shifted from google to github.
The annoying thing is that I now have to check all locations I linked those projects and tell all the people related that the sources have moved. The time before google is shutting down the servers also also not too far into the feature which seems a bit too short notice for my feel.
I do hope that the repo move went alright and all data is still there.
